  1. Very nice writeup.. However, please permit me to again correct some things. Dentists are doctors (Dental Surgeons) and are trained in general medicine as well as dentistry/Dental surgery, hence is only studied in a University affiliated with Faculty of Medicine (Not studied in Polytechnics or Schools of Dental Technology Enugu). Dentistry is different from dental technology or dental therapy (These ones are not doctors or dentists but are allied health workers).

Very many people know little about dentistry due to poor publicity.

Secondly, All Doctors (Physicians and Dental Surgeons) are paid using same Salary Scale (CONMESS). Dentistry is considered an independent specialty of Medicine (Other specialties are ENT, Ophthalmology, ENT etc), although they Start from undergraduate to specialize while also studying general Medicine. Thank you.
